Topic: RE: Getting a new tat
Howdy Neighbor! Well it all depends on what kind of surgery you are planning on having. Me? I carried a lot of "back fat" so I know I am probably gonna have the circumfrencial cut (goes all the way around) therefore I can't get any lower back tats until after that. However if you really spend time searching your local PS, I am sure you will find one who is inked him/herself or who is expierenced in working on patients who want to maintain their tats after surgery.
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

Topic: Getting a new tat
Well, I am 19lbs away from losing my very first 100lbs and the hubby has told me I get a new tat as my reward. I currently have three; a winnie the pooh on my right shoulder blade (he's the first and needs to be re-inked), two roses with celtic work enclosing my left ankle, and celtic knotwork on the small of my back. My problem is once I lose all my weight, I am planning to have plastic surgery and are not sure if it will affect any of the tats I have or where to put this new one so surgery doesn't affect it. I am planning on having a lower body lift (will this screw up the gorgeous celtic work on my lower back?), a breastlift with augmentation (never had big boobs so I figure while I'm second mortgaging the home to have the lower body lift, I may as well go for it all), and possibly my arms to remove the batwings. That doesn't leave much skin which won't be removed or reshaped to put new ink and tats are too expensive and lovely to be temporary. Anyone have any ideas?

Topic: RE: First time...
I was a tattoo virgin until last summer, I had always wanted one but never had the guts to do it...Guess after losing 134lbs, the self esteem goes up and you have to do something wild to celebrate. I am now the proud wearer of two tattoos!! There's just something unexplainable about lovin' them. My first was on my ankle and the other one I got about a month later on my shoulder blade.

Bonnie,
The tattoo is fantastic! I've been trying to decide what to get next for a celebration. My daughter is a tattooist altho she prefers to do the cosmetic stuff like eyebrows and eyeliner, but she does very nice work. I have a dreamcatcher on my right calf that I totally adore. I was 34 when I got my first tattoo, and I think I'll be lookin' for more when they close the lid on me.
Your dogs are something else, too. Irish wolfhounds, right? I love them. My neighbor had one and I fell in love with her. I'd love to have one. Can't fit one in my house, tho, with 2 Bostons, 1 black lab, and 1 collie lab mix and four cats, 1 husband and 1 son.
Enjoy your ink!
Best, Janice

This is a great website if you want to look at piercings and tattoos (as well as many other body modifications. They have an amazing amount of galleries with loads of pictures in them. People also share stories about their experiences. Hope this helps some people get some ideas or help.
