Topic: RE: Top of the foot
I just went ahead and got it done on my foot top and it wasn't all that bad. The last few moments when the artist was colouring it in, it was pretty tender, but not a horrible experience. My batteries in the digital camera needed recharging or I'd link a pic to this, but thanks for giving me input on your experience.

Jake,
I think where it is it will be just fine. My excess arm skin is at the bottom of my arm when I extend it.
Good luck with your surgery.

yes ma'am, i do. i have it on the top, up near the ankle, on the meaty part. yeah, it huert like hell, but let me tell ya! it is quite the conversation piece. it is easily hidden when you want, or you can throw on some sandals & show it proudly. i have had it a coupla years, it has nopt faded. i originally wanted one on my toe, like a toe ring. the guy talked me outta it, he said those mess up & fade easily. so, i got this one.
i have another on my chest, i would get it removed if i could, but the one on my foot, i LOVE IT!! even though it did hurt, i would do it again. the hardest part was keeping my foot, that was in the guys crotch area, still!! i think HE liked it!!! lol!
good luck~ bon

I want a new tat to celebrate my first hundred pounds lost after WLS. Due to planning plastic surgery after I reach goal I am considering the top of my foot, but research has brought up some points such as excrutiating pain, easily fading, etc. Anyone here have a foot tat?

i think you should be ok they say the tatt on your belly are the one because the skin is soo over streached i would say unless you are like popeye you should be ok their really isn't that much skin on the forearms
Topic: RE: Question on Tattoos???
Anna,
I had WLS on October 19, 2004 and have lost 129lbs in 6.5 mos. I have three tats; one on my ankle, one on my lower back, and one on my shoulder blade and none of them have become misshapen. If anything the colours are a lil more vivid since my skin is no longer strecthed over a lot of fat.
I am also researching a new tat as the hubby promised me one when I lost the first hundred pounds after surgery, but haven't chosen what or where yet.

Topic: Question on Tattoos???
So I'm in the process of going through WLS. My Surgery date will most likely be sometime in early july. Anyways, I currently have two tattoos on my left forearm and I'm wondering if they are going to become mishaped with the weight loss. Anyone else have experience with this?
Thanks,
Anna
