I have a couple myself, one is my Little Devil 
and the other is about my children. It has a heart with flames around it and a banner that says "Missing You" then below that are four hearts with all of their initials in them. I used to drive a truck and was gone most of the time, so that is where the saying "Missing You" comes from.
Now on to the other question, whether to get it now or wait. All I can tell you is that it doesn't wash off. So if you get it now it may or may not look so good later after you loose you weight.

I am 2.5 months out and all of sudden decided that I want a tattoo.After thinking long and hard about it, I want to get my son's name (Anthony Joseph) on my thigh. I've lost 55 pounds so far and was wondering if I should wait till I lose more weight. SO what do you guys think and anyone have a tattoo with a name on it and do you have any pics? Thank You

Hey there. Good luck to all of those who plan on getting a tattoo done once they have reached a goal or something like that. For those of you asking about "what tattoo should" you get or for ideas and/or comments...I just have to say that it should really mean something to you so that you NEVER have to regret being a 75 year old with a tattoo of whatever was the "cool thing" at the moment. There are also many websites with cool tattoos that can give you ideas if you really like them. Some of my tattoo artists have their websites online. Three of my tattoos are online. They all mean something VERY VERY VERY important to me. Good luck with yours everyone. I have about 6 more to do before I am done but I too will wait until after my WLS. These are out in the San Fernando Valley in CA.

I really wanted something with stars, but neither the tattoo shop or any online flash shops had anything I liked, so I drew my own. About a month ago, I took my 58 year old aunt to get her first tattoo, and she ended up getting a vine with flowers and a dragonfly on her foot and ankle. I liked it so much, that I decided to get one there as well. I think it turned out really nicely, but I can honestly tell you that, after have undergone the inking process 5 times, this was by far the most painful. So, those of you getting your ankle or foot tattooed, beware! Hope you like the pictures!
Oh, and I got my nose pierced as well!

I actually went to this. Had a blast - saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while. Just went to the Body Art Expo in San Deigo this past weekend - my husband got a HUGE tattoo on the front of his thigh. Conventions are awesom - So much good work around, lots to see!
