You can definatley have a belly button done...I know some people who have reconstuctive breat surgery after breast cancer get nipples tattooed on all the time. Check out a site called inkednation.com. Its a myspace for the tattoo and peircing community. A great way to find a good artist near you without having to drive around to shops....hope this helped, Lauren

I have a sun and moon at the lower base of my neck. So far I have lost 97 lbs and no change in any of the locations of my tattoos. (i have 9)
I have a memorial to my dad on my left thigh just above my knee... Its such a great tribute! Congrats on getting a new tat... hope this helps.

I was surprized to see you over here, I just thought everyone kinda stuck to the one forum.
Love the tattoos, are you planning anymore after surgery?
I have one right now but have plans for a few more. The one I relly want will be done I think in 3 parts. The first will signify my WLS, the 2nd will be a memorial for my father and the 3rd will be for my kids. All done on my back, should be a little painful, oh well!
No pain, no gain Right?

Hello,
I want to get another tattoo at the base of my neck and down onto my back between my shoulders. I have not had surgery yet and want to know if the tatt in this area will be ok after a signifigant weight loss. My father recently passed away and I found an Amy Brown fairy called "Wish You Were Here" and it is perfect. I have 3 other tatts but this one is very important to me so I want it to be right. What can you tell me?

I have never posted here, actually I didn't know that it existed...anyway, I am wanting to get another tat, in remeberance of my WLS journey and what it has done for me, as well as how others have lost their lives trying to do the same thing. I feel very lucky to be given this chance, and want the world to see it to...so what I need are some ideas...pics etc....anyone design them? I would like to be able to put it on my lower back , right below my waist band. Another question, should I wait to get it, till after I am at goal? Do you you think it would hurt less having an extra layer of fat there to cushion?

I have two awesome tats. My most recent was almost 2 years ago. I have a huge Amy Brown Fairy in the center of my upper back between my shoulder blades. It's all purple. I have been thinking about having some other colors added to spruce it up. Unfortunately, my tat lady, Lorie Willson, passed away 2 - 3 weeks ago from a bout with cancer. Bless your soul, Lor.
My other tat, my first, is a string of daisies across my lower back. I was on my way to Lorie's with the plan of getting a single daisy in the center of my lower back. I thought to myself "how foolish that would look". So, Lorie and her creativity created an awesome daisy chain for me. I have 3 daisies with gorgeous leaf work.
I will get more in the future. I have plans for a dragonfly for my next one. Probably on my right calf.
