yeah coming to this board really got me thinking so i started looking up stuff that symbolizes re-birth and found a really pretty picture of a phoenix but i also like the butterfly idea too...thanks for the ideas i have about 28 lbs to go to reach 150 which was my "reasonable goal" but i think i will go for my "wow" goal and get down to 130 that is when i will get my tattoo.

saw your post on RNY so I had to check it out. I am not super inky myself but I am obsessed with other people's tattoos. I have one very small one and I am also plotting a new one for when I get under 200lbs (7 more lbs to go). I would like to do a lotus (for my "rebirth", so cliche but whatever) but I'm having trouble finding a picutre of one I really like and... even more trouble finding an artist I like and trust in Chicago. I don't even know where to begin looking honestly. But I have to say that at 30 y/o I am much more picky than I was at 18 or 22 when I got the other ones (one of which I had removed it was so god awful!). So anyway, when I get it all worked out, I'll post a pic. It will definitely be on my (not so fat anymore) arse since I am one who likes to show my ink only when I want it to be seen. I'm also curious now about Inky's 100lb gift to self... hmm......
