I had my 2 tats done when I lived in Fresno by a highly recommended artist. And I was not disappointed. While I'm nowhere near ready for my WLS tat I would appreciate if anyone knows of a GREAT artist here in Las Vegas. Becca does your friend have any contacts here???

Topic: RE: Experiences with leg tats after WLS?
I guess it depends on how much weight you have to lose...I know during my weight loss I have been having my leg worked on...other than being a little "softer"...there's no real difference, and even my artist commented that my skin was in real good shape still!
lol...I hate going to the "ask your doctor" advice, but "ask your tattoo artist"...
I've noticed that there are a lot more artists that have worked with WLS patients as our numbers have been multiplying...some artists may or may not be comfortable working with our new bodies....ask around!

I have a large tat on the outside of my left leg that I am planning on having covered up. I am having starry night tat'd over it around my whole leg, knee to ankle. I was just wondering if the leg skin would droop alot and if so should I wait till after surgery? Thank for the input.

I'm gonna want that info from you when I am ready to start getting new ink....my artist moved up north and I haven't had much luck finding a new one that I mesh with personality-wise. =)
Topic: RE: Getting half sleeves -- after a brachioplasty though :(
Yeah my skin isnt too bad now so I am HOPING that it will be minimal, but I know I just cant lose that much weight and expect to not have some need for plastics. Oh well, it's all gonna be worth it!!! And it's gonna be so fun to ink up my brand new body! LOL

Yeah, I had a total of 204 pounds to lose, so I feel ya. I have terrible skin issues and I'm young and take care of my skin and everything. Plus, I'm not even done losing. I have another 50 pounds to go or so. So, skin... yeah.. I don't want to ink any of it until I know which panels of it I'm keeping first.. you know?

I got quite a few PMs from people asking about my ink, so here it is:
sorry to sound like a commercial, but if you're in the Los Angeles (Hollywood) area and looking for a good artist, PM me and I can direct you to an online portfolio for a great guy, who is not only an amazing artist, but a good friend and genuinely good human being! He is currently working at the world Famous True Tattoo in Hollywood, CA.
If you're uncomfortable cold calling, I'll even arrange introductions and a visit to the shop...when word of mouth referrals pay your rent, it says alot about an artist's skills for someone to REALLY have their back! Check some of his work on my profile...I have lots more in progress I can show you!
