Just found this board! Like your concept, can't wait to see how the color looks. Nice way of working in the pain... dig the candy as razor blade concept... boy is that the truth. Dale

Hi Molly check out some local artists and see what kind of ideas they can offer up to you...any artist that's worth it will sit down with you and come up with some drawings and several variations for you to look at and help make up your mind... I like to google a bunch of different images and bring them to my artist before we start the planning phase...sometimes, when the main image is on paper in front of you, you'll start to get ideas for the "bigger picture"... but flowers are awesome because leaves and vines give you a lot of flexibility in expanding or adjusting the image...maybe you could add a wind or water element...maybe fairy dust or smaller flowers (think baby's breath)...something as simple as sun rays or just swirled color looks beautiful too... the sky really is the limit...check out some artist portfolios and gety a feel for the styles you like and the artists that do it well...I'm sure you'll know it when you see it... good luck!!! The planning phase is so so much fun! xxxBecca

Topic: HELP!!
Hey, I'm 19 years old and I'm looking into getting my first tattoo. I'm really girly and want a tattoo that will reflect that. I have an idea of what I want but i have some questions too. I want a rib cage tattoo with 2 or 3 pink lillies that will go from my top rib down to my lower back. I know it's going to hurt alot but what I dont know is: How can I connect the lillies in a pretty way? How big should the lillies be? Does anyone have an estimate of how much it will probably be? Or does this sound really ugly and should I just try for something else? Any suggestions and/or answers will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Topic: RE: Traits of a good artist?!?
I second what Becca says - NEVER go to an artist based on price - Good tattoos are not cheap - Cheap tattoos are not good. I picked my artist based on his skills alone - He has won numerous Canadian Awards and is confident in his work. He will talk you out of getting flash off the wall - which any good artist should do. Go in and drill them, a good artist won't mind and will respect the fact that you have done your research!! Good luck finding one!

ohhhhhh wings....I love when women get wings that cover the whole back instead of tiny ones like Nicole Ritchie or something. Go big or go home baby!! lol Will they be black and Grey or will you do some realistic colour? I am anxious to see pics! I can't wait for more ink....

lol... I didn't even think twice about the double posts... sometimes I know I've posted twice and wasn't sure how, so no worries beauty. I will definitely share pictures. I just have to remind myself tomorrow to send the pic home so I can post it within my profile. They're really pretty. I have looked at tons of tattoos of angel wings and tons and tons of pics of angel wings and when I found this pic I thought, "That's it!!!". I'll probably draw them myself, I just have to stop being lazy and pick up an ink pen & paper. I don't know what it is about angels that I'm infactuated with them. I'm NOT into Hey-Zeus (my word for Jesus) but I'm SO in love with angels. I can't explain it. lol Well thanks beauty... xoxo christina

I couldn't agree more with you. Almost like we were made to have wings but someone forgot to tat them on at birth. I want realistic wings, not cartoony. I have a picture that I found online a while ago that I have been playing with as the basis for my wings. I like the flow of them. I'll have to send the pic to my home email and then add it so you can get an idea of what I am thinking. They're real pretty, feminine, yet sturdy. I don't know how better to explain them. xoxo Christina
