you don't have very far to go til goal...so unless you already have an abundance of hanging or wrinkled skin, I doubt it will be a problem....it usually gets more distorted (color and placement) when you're gaining an excessive amount of weight
ask your artist about the exact placement and what their feelings are on the matter...

Hi Misty,
Welcome to the message board!
What were you thinking of getting and where? It will depend on where you want to get it and where you carry your weight really.
Go in and ask your artist what he thinks, I did that with my arm and he said it should be fine, just get darker - if it does distort later, I'll get it fixed

Hi Misty!
I am not sure about the skin on the back, but I wanted to say Hi and welcome!

Topic: Now or later?
I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello, but I also have a question. I'm just 6 weeks out from surgery, 35 pounds down and about 60 to go to my goal. I'm really wanting a new tattoo on my back, but I'm wondering how close to my goal I should be before I get it. Has anybody had any issues with tattoos looking bad d/t sagging skin? I'm excited to get it, but don't want to rush things if it would be better to wait.
Topic: RE: Piercings and surgery?
Hi all,
My surgery got reschelduled.I had it yesterday and they were fine with letting me wear a plastic retainer in my nose no problem at all .I didn't put the back of it on and let them know if there was a problem they could just pull it out. Thanks for the replies.

sounds adorable!!!
I have a roll of measuring tape on my arm that was part of my "fat girl's ruin" sleeve...it's the one part of the whole thing that i get the most questions about...lol...so prepare for it to be a conversation starter!
any good artist should be able to draw up some cool variations of your idea...so shop around!!
be sure to let us know what you decide!!!

Tiffany,
I like that idea. There are lots of butterflies that have yellow - Tiger Swallowtail, Giant Swallowtail, Cloudless Sulphur, Gulf Fritillary, even the Monarch. It would be cool to use the yellow measuring tape with one of them. Maybe take a photo of a butterfly type you like to the tattoo artist and see if they can use their creative talents to incorporate a measuring tape so that it looks natural not obvious. They could make it so that someone *****ally looks at the tattoo would see it sublty worked into the wings or into a swirl.
If you get one be sure to post pics.
