Question on Tattoos???

So I'm in the process of going through WLS. My Surgery date will most likely be sometime in early july. Anyways, I currently have two tattoos on my left forearm and I'm wondering if they are going to become mishaped with the weight loss. Anyone else have experience with this? Thanks, Anna

Anna, I had WLS on October 19, 2004 and have lost 129lbs in 6.5 mos. I have three tats; one on my ankle, one on my lower back, and one on my shoulder blade and none of them have become misshapen. If anything the colours are a lil more vivid since my skin is no longer strecthed over a lot of fat. I am also researching a new tat as the hubby promised me one when I lost the first hundred pounds after surgery, but haven't chosen what or where yet. Kelly in TN

i think you should be ok they say the tatt on your belly are the one because the skin is soo over streached i would say unless you are like popeye you should be ok their really isn't that much skin on the forearms
