So it seems quite a few of us have significant coverage...with all the hours spent under the gun, do you have one piece that stands out as your favorite? Why?
Around my left wrist I have stitches that look like my hand has been sewn on (think frankenstein's monster) and along the underside there are crooked letters that look like stitched up open wounds that spell "LOVE"...I got it done about 10 years ago, and MANY since...but it really is the most meaningful...I got it during the worst time in my life when my best friend was killed...it reminds me every day of how important and painful friendship and love can be....it has also been very theraputic to remind myself every day of what is most important!...and to live like I really mean it!
so do tell...

My favorite (right now) is a teensy flower (about the size of a quarter) I have on my chest. There is no deep meaning to it...I was out bopping around with some friends one day and decided on a whim that I needed a new tattoo and that's what I got. It reminds me of being young and free and happy and I use it to remind myself to stay that way. =)

well, I have 2 favorites....on the back of my neck is a butterfly. it signifies my wls transformation, of course, but also has another meaning. it is shaded in colors of pink, purple, and blue, and signifies my sexuality (colors of the bi flag). below that, is a triskellion made from thorns and roses, symbolizing my lifestyle choices.

My favorite is the three hearts on my right ankle. They are purple, red and blue. The purple represents my oldest son, Dustin, the red represents my youngest, Bird, and the blue represents the middle, K man. The red ( or baby) is in the middle because he is loved and protected by the big brothers. The biggest thing is they are all connected and are all mine. Since I only have 2..the other is a purple iris on my back..it is very beautiful and reoresents many things to me!!
My fave is still my first one. It's the size of a softball on my right shoulder blade. It's a tiger's eye and in the pupil of the eye is a tiger walking across the plain with the sun setting behind him.
The tiger has always been my totem and it serves to remind me of the well of strength I have to draw from.

My favorite tattoo is a garter that goes all the way around my thigh.
It looks like a generic ribbon garter but instead of a "flower" I have the Crimson Ghost (Misfits logo). I love it, it was worth every excruciating moment (particularly in the inner thigh area)!
There is no color...yet. I want to put a color in the ribbon but I just haven't been able to decide on one. And now that I am attempting to have WLS I should probably wait until the weight comes off and see how its holding up (the tattoo and the thigh).

My favorite is my wedding ring, my husband and I have identical ink just the initials are flipped so he's closer to my heart and I'm closer to his. The ivy on my left forearm ties into my wedding ring (stands for honor and fidelity) and everyone notices it because it's very bright green and looks almost like jewelry... then they notice the ink on my finger and start asking questions. The finger was by far my most painful tat, even though it's the smallest... you just gotta suffer for love.
it's hard to pick a favorite when you've been tattooing your body for nearly 28 years, lol, but I do really love my giant old cootie bug on my right calf. I got a 1950's cootie game and put together a cootie bug in colors that I liked out of the box and took it to Fip Buchanan at Avalon II in San Diego. He drew up the perfect cootie. It's looking up my leg with wonky eyeballs and I always tell people I do have cooties ;)
It was my 40'th birthday present to myself.
I do love my elbow octopus too, and my koi, and they are next on the finishing list!
