Hello. This is my first time here. My husband had the surgery March 27, 2006. He feels pretty weak and tired but then all he has had is water, ice, and the 2-ounce cream soup meals three times a day. We attended the support group this morning and it was very inspiring. He is getting in all the water, 48 ounces at least. I know it is different for everyone, but how long does this fatigue last generally?

Mine lasted until I was on pureed for a lil while. Given I was on liquids for six weeks it took me until I was about I'd assume 3-4 months out maybe even less. I had major mood swings guess bc the body was going wacky. Hope all goes well! ~April~

Hello there. My husband had surgery in January. He had some complications so it has taken a bit longer to get his energy level back up. The fatigue is different for all, but as soon as he is able to get in nourishing foods he should feel a bit better . We have also found that exercise helps get the energy level up a bit for my hubby. Hope my $.02 helps you a bit. Angel
