I'm so excited and proud of my husband for sticking with the protein shakes twice a day and making more healthy choices for dinner...he's lost 28 pounds. We went to San Diego Monday, and finally the doctor said he would schedule him for the surgery date (we're waiting for the exact date). My husband just needs to increase his activity level to get up to the walking requirement. I am having so many feelings about his surgery...excitement, happiness, worry. I am realizing more and more that his surgery is going to have a HUGE impact on my eating choices (I'm also overweight) as well. Overall I think we are going on a lovely journey. Thanks for letting me share and all comments, questions, or whatevers are welcome! Vi

Hello my beloved. C~O~G~R~A~T~S~! on ur hubby's WLS progress. I know this board is slow and you may not hear from folks for awhile so I would like to invite you to BAF. I dont know if you have been there B4 but it is BLACK AMERICAN message board. We call it BAF for short Black American Family. Just look under communities and it is in the drop down window that starts w/ 4 wheelers. My Hubby comes to this forum to post and I come to check out any responses or just to find out how he is feeling about me being approved for surgery. His name is Brian Coleman. You can feel free to respond to his post or even send him an email. He is a little(lot) excited, worried, happy about me having surgery also. I look forward to seeing you on BAF. Until then BE BELSSED QueenKee
