PCP DENIES HUSBAND

We have just begun this WLS journey and my dh was planning to go first. He visited his PCP today and she was not supportive of the WLS at all. He is aprox 325, 5' 10" with 3 co- morb. He is totally crushed. I really do not know where to go from here. Help!!

Personaly I would look into seeing another Dr and get a second opinion. Good Luck and keep your chin up. This is not allways a easy journey. Took me 3 years to get a surgery date. Nikki H

Hello my Beloved. I know it is tuff to deal w/ but ur only option is to change your PCP. You have to do right away b/c the longer u wait the harder it will become to find one. This site is a wonderful tool. If you find a surgeon maybe their staff can recommend a PCP that works with them. The main thing is NEVER give up. It took me 2yrs, 2 ins. co.'s and 3 PCP's. But with 1 supportive PCP and new ins. co I got approval only 2days after my paperwaork was submitted. Just hang in there. QueenKee
