need help

My wife just had the bybass and i a next but i stll don't know witch one to have the lap band or the bypass any avdice will be of great help.

That is a personal decision you will need to make on your own. I would say to check out the Bypass or RyN board as well as the LapBand board to see which you think will work the best for you.

Hi there, my wife had the rny in august of 09.  she has lost almost 100 pounds since surgery.  she had planed on the miny gastric bypass that was offerd in florida but ohip cut the funding to that.  and her doctor said she should look into the rny.  this was in late febuary of 09.,  they got all the paper work done and she got the okay from ohip.  next was the cosult with dr graber in new york.  we figured at least 2 months.  she called on a friday and they asked her to come down the next monday.  and they made her apointment for aug 28.  just over 2 months from consult.  she had the surgery and is doing awesome.    some people who have had the lapband have switched and gone with the rny.  The best person to talk to is your doctor.  my wife says if she had to do it all over again she would do the rny.   if you want to ad me to your friends list you are more then welcome.  I hope I have helped you
