Iam new to this site, but I have been dealing with sleep apnea four over four years now and I have been diagnoised by my physcian. Unfurtionally I do not have health coverage and I can not afford to pay for one at the high prices that I have seen on these search ingeens. I didn't go off mine - I went from a 12 pressure to a 7 in the year post op - and still at a 7.

My name is Tina, my fiance Dennis has been diagnosed with sleep apnea. It is really scarry staying awake all night listening to him try to breathe. He has no insurance and is currently on unemployment because he was fired from his job for falling asleep. We really need some help getting a cpap machine for him.

I've had much the same experience with waking up and its off.  But over time I am getting more and more used to it.

I have a new problem though I hope someone here can help me with.  I have a little bit of a cold.  I use  the small nasal mask, and with my stuffed nose I can't get enough air because my sinuses are inflamed.  I tried saline spray because they say absolutely don't use Afrin or anything like that (addicitve), but saline doesn't do anything for me.  It actually seems like it might make it worse.  Any tips for dealing with a stuffy nose on CPAP/APAP?
