Tonight is the last night my husband and I will sleep alone. Cpap is coming in the morning. I know I need it but still the thought of that on me every night makes me I guess if I can finally get some good it will be worth it. Just wondering, how do you all like yours? Thanks for listening, Jolene

Topic: no apnea but .....need oxygen
Has anyone had that happen ? My PA called today and said that I don't have apnea but I do snore and need oxygen. She said no Cpap but something else , I don't remember what she called it. I don't like anything on my face ! I even got a little when I went for the pulmonary test and they had to put that clip on my nose ! Hubby thinks it is just a way for the ins to pay out more. What do you think ?

Topic: RE: Problems with sinuses
I have done nose enemas but I've never heard it called that. I actually had sinus surgery in '95. I have started using the thing again. I can't handle all night; but I go as long as I can. I actually wake up frequently fighting the mask. I guess you just do what you can until you have a better choice. Thanks to all Shelly

Hi Shelly, I have horrible sinuses as well. My PCP sent me home one day with a bucket and a hose to do what I call nose enemas with sal****er. It will bring tears to your eyes but since I have been doing that my sinuses are sooooo much better. Kim

Topic: RE: pressure number
My number is 8 and I also have severe apnea. My brother, who is not overweight, has much stronger pressure than I do - at least in the high teens. Hope this helps!

Topic: RE: Dry Mouth?
OH THANK GOD! Thanks for these postings, I was about to lose my mind! I am not alone. I printed this out and will go home and try it but not sure it if will work, not sure if the model is the same but believe me I will try. I wondered if I just didn't need that much air now also. I did try sleeping without it but I don't think I can yet. Thanks so much.

Sarah, I know what you mean about the number. Here is what I have been told the setting, in your case 7, is the amount of pressure it takes to open your airway back up. From what I understand, it has nothing to do with the episodes per hour. My setting is 18, where my Dad is only set at 5 and we were both told we have severe apnea. Not sure if this helps. Connie

Hi, I've seen others post about their "number" for their machine. It seems like most people are in the mid-to-upper teens. I'm just wondering about that, because the people who did my sleep test told me I had severe apnea (70 episodes per hour), but my number is only 7. That sounds weird, if I have such severe apnea. What do you all think? Sarah
