I wish you luck... I've had my cpap since Dec and still have problems using it. It takes forever for me to fall asleep with it (I usually hit the ramp button several times before dozing off) and once it's up to full pressure it wakes me up. It's loud and cold and makes my sinuses hurt. I feel that I actually "sleep" better without it but I was diagnosed with severe apnea so I know I don't get quality sleep. Sorry to be so negative but I feel like it's a catch 22 situation where you're damned if you do and damned if you don't use it. Toni

Hi! I got my CPAP last Friday. That was the first night iin two years that I slept in my own bed without having to get up because I woke my husband with my erratic snoring. What a feeling! I got a good night's sleep the first night and every night since then. It is incredible. I'm still getting used to my nightly routine, but it's all good. CPAP is definitely a life-changing experience. Cheryl

My number is also 11, but I was told it was severe. I was also given a "bottom" number, which is 4. I am not sure what the bottom number means, except that my machine will ramp up from 4 to 11 over 20 minutes. Cheryl

Hi Susan, I had to take my own CPaP to the hospital with me when I had surgery. Rebecca

Hi! I am new to this board and thought this would be a good question to start on. Let me start off by giving some of my history: My Hubby says I snore, I deny it hehe. When I sleep, I tend to stop breathing, my test showed 6 times in a 20 min span! I hardly would hit REM sleep and my oxygen levels bounced in the low 60s. I never felt rested and had a hard time waking up in the mornings, I wonder why! I am now the proud owner of the Comfort Curve mask and love it! It is less constrictive then any other ones I tried and I can wear my glasses to watch tv before bed with the mask on. I would recommend it as it comes with a small, medium and large nose piece so you can fit yourself and not have to go in for a fitting or guess when you order it. Here is a link if you are interested! http://www.cpapxchange.com/cXc-bm-products/mask-comfortcurve.html Hope the info helps, Amy Cooper

I hear ya on that one My cpac came this morning. I thought they were going to set it up in my bedroom so I cleaned it and they never went in. The woman came in set the box on the table then unpacked it talking about it the whole time then said sign here, here and here. It took less than 10 minutes and she was gone. I've got to go to bed now. I'm going to get a good laugh from the look my husbands going to have when he gets to see me with this thing on Good luck, Jolene

Did they tell you what your oxygen level was ? I never heard of needing oxygen because you snore I was told I had sleep apnea but also that my oxygen level dropped way to low. Down to 68% when I was in a deep sleep. Good luck, Jolene
