Topic: RE: Sleep study ?
I had to go for 2 studies. The first one I slept all night wiht all the wires. Then I got a call 4 days later I needed to come back for the 2nd one becasue I FAILED to first one and did in fact have apnea. I wish they could have done mine all in one night. It was a real pain getting wired up 2 saturday nights in a row.

Topic: RE: Sleep study ?
Hey Gary, Still waiting for my doc to call me with the sleep study results. I did feel much better rested the next morning. I woke up on my own at around 5:30 am and was wide awake. So yeah it seems like I had some really good sleep going on. Thanks, Melissa

I would say more than likely, because that was my experiance. Of course, I was pretty sure I had sleep apnea before I took the sleep study. You will get your results from the plumonologist /Doctor (?) soon to either confirm the diagnoses or not. The question is, if you had the mask on half the night, did you sleep better or feel better in the morning? I actually left my sleep study feeling better rested than I had in years!.

Topic: Sleep study ?
I had my sleep study and was put on the cpap machine for half the night. Told by tech that my doc would let me know if I had Sleep Apnea. If they put me on the cpap does that mean I have it for sure? Thanks, melissa

Topic: Vertical Sleeve or Lap-Band regrets
I am interested in having surgery and Dr. Ku suggested I have lap-band or Vertical sleeve. Anybody have this and regret doing either of these? Please let me know. Thanks

The difference in cpap and bipap is cpap only helps with your oxygenation (O2 oxygen level) and bipap helps boyh oxygenation and ventilation (oxygen and CO2 carbon dioxide levels). If you have trouble with both then you should be placed on a bipap. An ABG (blood gas) can be done to determine if you have a problem with O2 and CO2 levels.

Hi! I read your post about you CPAP machine and that you were getting headaches from it. I've been trying to use mine also but I wake up in EXCRUTIATING PAIN! My head and my entire body just ache! Were you ever able to find a solution to your problem? I have an appointment with a pulmonologist/sleep study center August 8th but i'm just curious as to what you found out and I hope you are doing much better! THanks, Michelle

Hi Nina, I'm sorry I don't have any helpful ideas but it doesn't look like there is much action on this forum, you might want to go over to the main one and post. Good Luck!
