Autopap 'plug'
I switched to an Autopap about 2 years ago, and I loved it! It adjusts just to your needs, instead of staying at one pressure all night. From looking at the downloads, I could see the pressure changing often, all night long!
Since my surgery last December, I have gone from 238 to 152. My Autopap has adjusted, all along the way. My average pressure has gone from 15 to 9 ... and I just had the lower pressure changed from 9 to 7, since I suspect that actually I should be even lower! As I get to my goal, I realize that I probably will always have to use the machine, but at least the pressure will be less! And that makes it all more tolerable, somehow!
So ... anyone who is doing the surgery, especially, get an AUTOPAP! The only alternative is to have another sleep study every month or so, as you are losing weight, and who want to go thru that!? But even for those who are not losing weight, the autopap is a great idea! My pressure before ranged from 9 to 21 during the night ... so you know that my Cpap that was 'set' at 13 wasn't really as effective as the Autopap!
