I have decided I could probably quit c-pap. Since surgery I have been lowering my pressure and now I am down to 6. When I was down to 8 I went away for the weekend and didn't take "IT". Mostly, I had trouble falling asleep. Has anybody quit theirs and where you 'addicted' to the face mask? Is a pressure of 6 still in need of c-pap? Paula 270/218/150?126?

You've been adjusting your pressure yourself?!? That can be dangerous. You should ask for another sleep study and then go by the doctor's recommendation for weather or not you still need cpap.

Mine is set on 9 and I'm pre-op, my dad's was 12 and since his WLS he's down to 7. I think I'd still use it until you were down to 2 or 3. You don't want to risk a lack of oxygen during the night because of the brain damage that can happen.

I was diagnosed after losing 165 pounds. I quit the CPAP because it kept waking me up at night. I was sent to an Orthodontist for a dental device. It was working out good but started to aggravate my TMJ. It never ends.
