new diagnosis, new here!

Hi! I'm new! I am awaiting insurance approval for surgery. Was recently diagnosed with severe OSA. I just picked up my C-PAP yesterday. My presribed pressure is 18! I did OK last night although I did wake up several times. It felt weird! I'm not sure I like the humidifier. Althogh it is a heat one, it felt cold. Also I woke up really, really congested. I have always preferred low humidity climates. I live in the high desert. Nice to read all the posts. Thanks to all of you. I definately don't feel alone.
