I am 9 months out and almost 100 lbs down, but still snore loudly without my cpap. Has anyone ever continued to have sleep apnea after such a big weight loss? Thanks for any experiences you care to share! -Vickie in CA

Hi Vickie, My pulmonologist does a sleep study after losing 50 pounds, and then every 50 after that. i have lost 142 pounds so far and still have it. My setting was a 12 , now it's a nine. I should be doing another sleep study in the next month , so i'll see then. Linda [email protected]

hi, I was actually diagnosed after losing 165 pounds. Mine is obstructive sleep apnea. My tongue slides back and blocks the airway. It will never go away. The Dr. says there is surgery but not very effective.
