Has anyone had any problems with being light headed or having headaches after starting CPAP? I started 2 weeks ago and the very next day and ever since then I have felt that way--kinda drunk feeling. I am starting to get worried. I even went to the Med Help place and they checked me out and he said I am not pregnant, I don't have an infection, my blood sugar is ok and i am not diabetic, and that he couldn't find anything wrong. If it doesn't stop soon I am going to another doctor but I just wondered if anyone knew why I might be feeling this way. I get nauseated sometimes too and I am about 3 weeks late for my period.

Lisa - I haven't had any head ache or light headedness with my cpap. I'm sorry that you're having these issues. I would certainly go back to the doctor and get to the bottem of it. Good luck!

Lisa - I've also experienced a lightheadedness. Went for a procedure and the nurse asked if I was always hypotensive... 80/30?!?! She had used a too large cuff (I'm also a nurse) and after obtaining the proper size cuff the pressure was closer to 100/50, but I'm thinking the cpap has done that for me. Are you aware that sleep apnea can cause hypertension? Maybe that is a factor in your symptoms. Be sure you're drinking plenty of water and get up slowly so you don't pass out. Good luck with finding the issue - or adjusting to it. Angela in OK

could it be from your sinuses? cpap can inflame your sinuses. i know when it's the time of year to start using my humidifier when i start getting bad sinus headaches in the morning.
