Has anybody got any tips for keeping your mask on allnight?Sometimes I pull it off in my sleep and don't realize it until it to late.I've had my cpap machine for about 6 months and its great. It's been a really long time since I've had so many dreams.I don't know what I would do without it.thanks James

HI James...I dont have any suggestions because I do the same thing. I wake up and the mask is on the floor and the machine is still running. No idea how long I wore it before I took it off in my sleep. My doctor called the medical supply company that handles my cpap and O2 machine and they brought me a chin strap. Its suppose to keep you from opening your mouth while you sleep and make it a little harder to yank off. I still have trouble but it may work for you because I hate my cpap and have never gotten used to wearing it. Good luck!! Mary Brake

well I don't usually have that problem, you didn't say what kind of mask?? mine is a real small nose one and it's great,, when I had the nose pillows they go in the nostrils,,ugh didn't like that took them out all the time, also not sure about your machine but mine has an alarm that goes off when it's off your face for more than 60 seconds,, but mostly time makes it easier, stick with it and you'll get use to it,,I've had mine six years------brenda

I have tried a different pillow.... in fact baught two 1st is a C shaped pillow from Wall mart $3.00 .. it worked OK but then I needed more. 2... was a sleeping wedge (got a cheep on for $20.00... I use these two pillows together and now I sleep about 6 hours without much problems. Getting my stuffy head under controll is a whole other story... but I am working on that. Bob

Hi James, I have trouble keeping my mask on all night, too, but I am aware of when I take it off. Usually it wakes me up because of water leaking on my face and annoying me. (I have a heated humidifier with mine, and they tell me it's the condensation that is trickling down my face). My respiratory therapist advised me to tighten the lower straps to make sure the mask is a tighter fit and I tried that last night. I was able to keep it on for a record 6 1/2 hours! I do know that the first mask they gave me was so uncomfortable that I couldn't stand it, so they tried a different one and it is much better.
