Well...today (12/11/2014) makes it 9 months ago that I had my Chiari Decompression surgery. I'm still going strong, thank God. One thing I still have from having this Chiari Malformation Type 1 is that I still have Apnea that's still lingering, but it's very slowly going away since I had my Chiari Decompression surgery nine (9) months ago today (12/11/2014) which is good. Slow and steady wins the race right? I still have to set-up a sleep study to see what settings to set my BiPAP machine so it can help whatever apnea I still have to go away. It's been a very long road for me when I had my Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on 06/08/2010. I have lost 287.4 pounds from my pre-op weight two weeks (05/25/2010) before my VSG surgery and I have lost 376 pounds overall. My pre-op weight two weeks before my VSG surgery is 476.4 pounds and my heaviest weight is 565 pounds. Whatever sleep apnea that I still have goes away for good at some point. I hate having sleep apnea. I just want it to go away for good. This sleep apnea that I still have, it's been over 20 years ago what I found out that I have Apnea.

Highest Weight: 565 pounds (around 1999), Highest BMI: 94

Lowest Weight: 153.5 pounds (as of 07/10/2013), Lowest BMI: 25.5

Current Weight: 350.75546 pounds (351 lb 0 oz./159.1 kilograms (as of 04/22/2019), Current BMI: 58.3

Slow and steady wins the race for sure!

You've done amazingly well!  Congratulations!

Getting another sleep study to adjust the machine is a great idea.  I'm wondering if I should do that in a few months?  I'm seven weeks out from RNY surgery.

Way to go!  Your story has been inspiring.

Indeed!

Thank you!

It is. It wouldn't hurt to do another sleep study, talk to your doctor about that. Cool, I know you'll do great.

Thank you! :-) ...glad I've inspired you.
