My love affair with my CPAP

Never thought I'd see the day , but I LOVE my CPAP machine

Never would have said that 2 mths ago during my sleep study...they almost sent me home at 3:00 in the morning because the study wasnt going well....they tried 3 different masks.....full face/nose...full nose...nasal pillows

I resisted them all...felt claustrophobic

I had an incredibly kind technician who as gently as she could, tell me after a 3:00 am episode of crying because I was so exhausted from lack of sleep and trying, that if we couldnt get 2 solid hours of reading, then we may as well stop the study.

I didnt feel like driving an hour home at 3:00 am,  so we tried again and got that 2 full hours

Jump to now.....LOVE my machine, currently using nasal pillows, but thinking about switching back to my full nose mask, because the pillows are starting to irratate my inner nose/cause senstive bumps in my nose canal

I havent needed a nap in over 3 weeks, and this is coming from a gal who napped 3-4 hours every Sat/Sun and took 1 hr naps in my car after lunch everyday

So awesome to not be sleeping my life away anymore :)

For those of you having trouble with your machines...hang in there...it DOES get better !

I had the same trouble with nasal irritation. I complained and they gave me a nose mask. I used the nose mask for a few weeks to let my nostrils heal. Now I alternate weekly between the two.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE my machine. I feel like a million bucks. The other night I must have wrestled it off in my sleep. I woke up with the worst sore throat from all the snoring. Never again!

I LOVE MY CPAP AS WELL!!!

I feel like a new person every day-no more  sleeping on the couch, alone.  I get to snuggle with my husband again!!
