Any ideas? My insurance denied my surgery because I am responding to treatment for my sleep apnea with C pap.

do you have any other comorbid problems?  degenerative joint disease (aka  arthritis) in your knees or feet?  Edema in your lower legs or ankles?  Those are the only other obvious things I can think of.  Either way, I would definitely appeal.  I work for an insurance company.  Mine is pretty good and reasonable, but there are some out there that just deny right off and wait to see if it's important enough for you to appeal.

Hypertension and on Blood Pressure medication. I will appeal,  I just need to get my ducks in a row before I do it. I am trying to gather as much information as I can. Thanks for your input.

May I ask which insurance you have?

I'm hoping Medicare doesn't do the same to me..

a C-pap machine is supposed to help sleep apnea. It keeps you from the stop start of apnea. Crazy.
