I will be going for my sleep test in a couple of weeks, and would like to know what to expect.
All they said was where to go, bring my pyjamas and toiletteries and also pillow if I wanted.
Not quite sure what to expect and afraid of not being able to sleep.
What do they do for the test?
How would they react if I cannot sleep?

When I went for my test, I had to bring toiletries (you want to have some soap to wash off the goop) and I brought my own comfy pillow. Expect the tech to hook about 16 wires to your body. Some on the legs, some on the chest area, most on your head. If you are a sleeper that uses the entire bed (like me, I sleep all over a queen sized bed.) expect to have restrictions in movement. Not sure how they would react. I did mine in the day time while the office was still open. That made things interesting. I kept waking up more than usual but I was not given a "mild" sedative to help me sleep.
I had a hard time falling asleep for mine - no medicine or anything. Some sleep study places have a hotel atmosphere - tv, decorations, etc. Others are more like little hospital rooms. I brought the toiletries & stuff. The tech was really patient with me not being able to fall asleep - said it happens a lot. If you like to read, I'd bring a book. If you have a favorite pillow and/or blanket, bring that too.
