Last night my husband Mike had a sleep study, and the nurse woke him up at 1:00 a.m. and put a CPAP machine on him.  They told him he was only getting 70% oxygen when he slept.  I just knew he had it, even though I've never heard him stop breathing.  He snores alot, and I've heard him breathing sometimes like he's gasping for air.  Now the results will go to his doctor, who will probably order a CPAP machine for him, which I know our insurance will pay for.  I'm so relieved that he finally got a sleep study.

Congrats on him finding out what the issue was.  Some insurance companies only pay a certain amount for DME.  You may want to check to see how much will be covered.  My first insurance had a copay of $300.00 for mine.  My second one was covered 100% because I now have 2 insurance plans.

Our insurance company (United Health Care) paid totally for my CPAP machine, so they should pay totally for my husband's machine.
