More than just the CPAP
I've been having trouble getting restful sleep with my CPAP machine, which I've had for around 2-1/2 months now. I've been using it every night, and I've been awakened by allergy symptoms, for one thing. The sleep study doctor I saw today also suggested that my recently diagnosed hypothyroidism may be a contributing factor, as well. He will look up the results of my card insertions into the machine that the Praxair people had me mail back for two months in a row, to see what pressure my machine has.
I'm around 150 pounds overweight (morbidly obese), and I've had sleep apnea for years now. I cannot do without the machine, at this point. My symptoms are morning and early afternoon sleepiness, snoring, lack of sexual drive, etc. I am going to an allergy doctor on May 19th. I hope he can help me - I am so tired of feeling lousy in the morning and so tired, too. I feel groggy each morning now, and spit up alot of phlegm each morning, as well. The doctor recommended I use a nasal wash until I see the allergy doctor. Anything's worth a try.
