I had my sleep study last night.  Lab tech wouldnt even give me a hint as far as how I did.  She said they would contact me in approx 2 weeks with the results and to let me know if I have to come back for part 2.   Does it really take 2 weeks to interpret a sleep study?   Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I had my sleep study done on Feb 1st and by Feb 4th I was contacted about getting a cpap, which was before the follow up with my doc on Feb 6th.

I had a 2 part study - the first part without the cpap and the second with it - all in the same night.

I had my sleep study and I was so severe the nurse came in and put me on the CPAP machine after 3 hours. I knew I had it after that, but was 10 days before I cold see my Dr to actually diagnose me. If your concerned call your dr and let them know. They do understand.

HTH.

After my sleep study, they told me I had a very severe case and needed treatment, then gave me the two weeks business. I called my doctor's office and complained. They were trying to give me the run around and I told them that if something happened to me because they were delaying the results for two weeks, I would sue. I had the full report in my hands the next day along with an apology! Try bugging your doctor, it is your health we are talking about!
