wet face

My face sweats under the nose mask of my c-pap. It is worse when I use the humidifier. I recently found out if I put (sounds too weird but it is true)deodorant on my face where the mask sits, my face stays dry. It has not bothered my skin or given me any blemishes. It has made wearing the mask easier. Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't had this particular problem..but I have noticed if I use the humidifier, it leaves water in the tube, and that sometimes runs into my nose...or gathers in the tube, and makes loud noises. lol...I will be so glad when I don't have to use this machine any more.

I have had that before. It happens if I use too much humidity. I can only put it on one. I would have loud noises and bubbling. I hate it too. I can't wait until I am off of the thing.

I have tried to use my humidifier but the moisture collects in the hard plastic part of my mask and sort of sprays out of the vent which wakes me up.  Scares the heck out of me when it happens!

The deoderant thing sounds like a really good idea!

Try putting your machine on the floor so the water runs down to the humidified and not into your nose.  Deoderant on the face is a great idea.

I thought that the deodorant might break my face out but it never does. I am going to the my primary doc so that he can refer me for another sleep study to see if I still need it or maybe just have the titration reduced. I am hoping to get off of the thing for good. I can't wait to snuggle down into my pillow again.

You are probably right.  If I am stuffy with a cold or allergies I may use it.  Other wise I don't.  I haven't used it (the humidifier) for months now.  I still get wet under where the mask rests on my face though.  I guess I am just sensitive to it.  As I said, I keep the deordorant in my nightstand drawer.
