Head gear doesn't stay on

Okay so... I have been trying to sleep with this head gear on with the actual mask that just goes over my nose, and it just won't stay on. I have it tight, but it still comes off when I sleep. I've only had one night where I've slept and I've kept it on. I still woke up about 2 hours after I put it on, found it was off of my face, put it back on, and I slept very straight and didn't move the rest of the night, but still. How do I keep this mask on???? Any ideas, tips, weird home devices where I can rig up the head dress to keep this sucker on? I need sleep! Lol.

Try making sure it is pulled down as far as it can go and be sure the bottom bands are tight. I was getting air through the sides and once I did that, I haven't had any problems and am sleeping like a baby. Good luck

I use a chin strap--I don't need it to keep my mouth closed, but it does keep the head gear in place a lot more. Talk to your provider and let them know what is happening. You may need a different kind of head gear. I used a full face mask for a year and now the nasal pillow--it took me awhile to get used to it, but it's so much nicer than the face mask. Good luck!

Instead of the nose mask, they suggested I use the full mask. I got it in June 2007, and I am just now getting used to it. I never had it come off, it would just leak air. But, something happened where it doesn't do that anymore. If I am laying on my side, and it starts to leak, I just put my hand to it and hold it in place - that seems to work. Now, I wouldn't be without it. I can sleep for a solid 8 hours a night at times, not every night, but most nights. I would suggest the full mask.

If your hair is long enough, you can put it in a ponytail. Then be sure the straps are below the tail which will stop it from coming off your head.
