I went to get my sleep study done back in june and found out in 3 weeks that I have moderate sleep apena. I was so depress. When I got back in town from going to Maryland my home town, the lady called to set me up on my cpap and I hate it. Still trying to get use to it but I also at nite take my off wit out knowin it. But I do pray to god that one day that I will get off it and be healthy. I'm kind of glad that I know so it can be treated, So I thank myself for doing this wls Cause if I didnt I would have not known that I have this and went on not being treated.

Where are you from in Maryland? I live in the Baltimore area. Keep trying the mask. Eventually, you will get used to it. I used to take mine off at night also. Now I have problems with it sliding off during the night. I guess my face is geeting smaller all the time. Aime

I experienced a lot of problems with the mask as well...would get panic attacks and decided not to use it. I'm 26 and the diagnose wasn't a fun one for me either. I'm about 6 weeks out from surgery and can already tell a huge difference in my quality of sleep....hang in there!!!

I just had a repeat sleep study last Friday. Although I don't have the official results yet, it seems I still have some apnea. I am sleeping better and better every day however.

i HAD SLEEP APNEA BEFORE i BECAME OBESE, APNEA CAUSES OBESITY, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, WHEN YOUR TIRED YOU DON'T BURN CALORIES, APNEA CAUSED ME TO HAVE ATRIAL FIBRILLATION. WHICH WOULD OF LED TO CONGESTED HEART FAILURE, FORTUNATELY i HAD THAT CURED BY SURGERY, IF THE MASK IS SLIPPING OFF DUE TO WEIGHT LOSS, GET A NEW MASK, APNEA IS NOT ABOUT SNORING, THAT WOULD BE COSMETIC, AND NOT A CO-MORBID. IT IS A LIFE THREATENING CONDITION ALL BY ITS SELF. YOU CANT HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE IN DELAWARE IF YOU HAVE APNEA AND DON'T HAVE TREATMENT.
