Hello I am leaving for Cozumel on Saturday, but trying to organize everything this evening. I have traveled with my cpap within the country for an extended weekend. At that time, I was not using the humidifier. Now, after horrific sinus problems I have a humidifier. My question, do you take the humidifier? Or should I try to go without it since we will only be gone a week? Also, has anyone had trouble getting distiled water? Thanks for the help Pat

A week can seem like eternity if you're having sinus problems. I've taken mine. I usually pack some distilled water in a tupperware container or drinking water bottle, just in case I can't find any. For a week, you shouldn't really need that much. Have fun on your trip! Bobby

I just use bottled drinking water when I travel.

Whenever I travel, I bring my humidifier along. I dont bother with the distilled water, but definately bring the humidifier. I find it very hard to sleep without the humidifier. My nose gets so dry that I wake up! Tara

I've flown a few times, and bring the machine and humdifier as a carry on. The security checkers are familar with it as medical equipment, but they won't let you bring the distilled water aboard. I've just used bottled water, figuring it can't crust up my machine in one week! Have fun, Mary C

just remember - they won't let you bring the water as carry-on! Didja hear about the woman with the sippy cup incedent? You'll have to pack the water. Jean

I got a prescription from my Dr indicating that I needed to bring my machine and distilled water for medical purposes with me on the plane. I would take two water bottles filled with distilled and pack the rest in my luggage. When the airlines started the business about no liquids on board with you I showed my prescription and was allowed to have it on board with me. Heidi

Been on cpap 15 years, just use a filter pitcher for my water source in my heated humidifier. , a little vinegar cleans out the lime deposit once in a while, and the insurance company buy new canisters every six months with the new face mask as routine maintenance.
