Impossible to sleep without my CPAP

Hi, I have been on CPAP for about 5 years now. My problem is I can't even fall asleep, even for a nap without my CPAP. I've tried. I sometimes would just love to catnap in a recliner or bed without it but I can't. When I had my surgery, my doctor would not let me use it for 3 days. I had absolutely NO sleep. Does anyone else have this problem?

Loretta, I can fall asleep without my CPAP but I try to never let that happen. It makes me too nervous. Seeing the date you first posted this, I can see that you are back to using the CPAP. How are you doing? Blessings, Susan

I have the same problem When I had my surgery they had me on O2 so I was able to sleep. I think I need the sound of it to help me sleep sometimes. Aime
