Hey everyone, I just talked to Annette on the phone. She is doing really great and will be going home today . She is sore and bruised. She has been doing her walking and they have removed all her drains. She sounded really strong. She said she would try to pop in on the chat room tonight if she felt she could. Alisha

Alisha, Thank you so much for the update. We were asking about her in chat last night and I ahd planned to try and track her down this afternoon. Since you posted I will let her rest. Hope she comes in tonight, but then again, I am gonna be late. Pat

The swift is a mask apparatus made by Resmed. It goes into the nose like what you see in the soaps except that this one will fill the nostrils. I got mine through my equipment provider because my insurance replaces my mask every 6 months. If you are self paying, you can try to get the provider to give you a cash or medicare price. If they won't, you can buy them on-line. Go to talkaboutsleep.com and they have a sleep store there. You can also get tons of help from their message boards, things like putting a little petroleum jelly on your nares to help prevent the sore nose while adjusting and other things. Good luck! Let me know if I can answer anymore questions.

I have a wonderful low-carb recipe...no bread! My DH likes them better than the ones with bread crumbs because you get more crab flavor. LOW-CARB CRAB CAKES 1/2 pound blue crabmeat 1 tablespoon small diced red bell pepper 1 tablespoon small diced green bell pepper 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley leaves 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 2 eggs 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 teaspoons Maryland-style crab seasoning (recommended: Old Bay) 2 tablespoons olive oil Pick through crab meat for any shells and shred. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients, except oil until blended. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. With a tablespoon, carefully spoon cakes into the pan. (The batter will be very loose since there are no bread crumbs, but once the egg in the mix starts to cook they will hold together fine.) Cook on 1 side until firm, about 2 minutes, and then flip and cook for about 1 more minute. I cook them longer than this, becuase DH likes them well done. Makes 8 medium sized crab cakes. Enjoy!
