Topic: IT'S GETTING TO BE THAT TIME...BUT...READ CAREFULLY
It is about time to start getting ready for next quarter so you need to be thinking about whether or not you are going to participate and contact me to let me know....BUT:
DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO WHAT YOU AGREE TO.
I am giving this 1 more quarter as coordinator because I really enjoy meeting you all, but, if I have problems like I have been having, I'm done with it. I shouldn't have to be stressed out all the time because of people who sign up and then fall off the face of the earth. This is NOT mandatory. This is supposed to be FUN and SUPPORTIVE and to be quite honest, it's been anything but for alot of you and it's not fair!
So, 1 more time, here are the RULES/GUIDELINES
You will be assigned a pal for 3 months. You must contact her at least once EVERY week (and more often if she is having a rough time would be nice). You need to send her a nice gift of at least $10 EVERY month. You should mail the gift out no later than the 15th but the main thing is that she receives it before the end of the month. (I realize that emergencies do arise - and here is where problems start - and sometimes you just cannot get them their gift on time; IF that happens, you need to contact your pal and let her know what is going on and when she can expect to have her gift AND THEN SEE THAT SHE GETS IT and also contact me so that I am aware of the problem)
Someone will be assigned to you and you will be assigned to someone else so you actually make 2 new friends each quarter.
Again,, this is NOT a MANDATORY group. It is voluntary and if you are not TOTALLY - TOTALLY committed to it, then DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!
If you are committed and want to make a new friend and join a great bunch of people, then let me know that you are going to participate and I'll start getting things organized for another quarter.

Read the above paragraph and it tells you what is expected of you. Please be sure you are ready to totally commit before signing up. I will making a post in about 10 days asking who wants to participate and then new pals will be assigned for October thru December. If you want to join, let me know and I'll send you a questionnaire.

The closing on the house went smooth and the move went well. Pretty much unpacked and settled.

I don't know if you have finished moving yet or if your internet is connected yet, just wanted to let you know that I have mailed your July gift on Saturday, Sept 04, 2010 and will be sending another one for the for August in a week, and your Sep gift in about a week after that.
It sounds strange to be sending your gifts so close together, but because I did not get you info until late, because of email problems, no fault of yours, and because we are from different countries there is a lack of quick delivery. You should be getting your first gift in about two weeks. Hope you have forwarded your mail from your old address and if possible update me with your new mailing address and will make sure the future shipments will be to the correct address.
When I try to send you any emails they all come back as undeliverable

I knew you were posting something and just today got here to read it. I have been so busy with messages from people with problems that I truly forgot to come to this page and look. 
I'm glad that I read it today and here's why: I was honestly thinking of throwing my hands up and saying, I can't do it any more. It is so frustrating when people do, as you have very eloquently posted, what you said, and just do not follow through. Then 2 or 3 WEEKS after I contact them and say I'm sorry but I'm going to have to drop you, they decide to contact me with their reasons. They usually have what could be considered a good reason, but, why wait so long to tell someone? And, why sign up in the first place if you have things going on that are going to prevent you from following through with what you PROMISED to do???
But, after reading your comments and hearing that my efforts are appreciated, I will give it 1 more go round. IF, however, I continue to have problems, this is it for me. I, too, have my own problems and don't need the extra stress. If everyone would do their part, this would be simple to coordinate. And, I LOVE knowing most of you and those of you I've had as pals are just AWESOME!!!
