Yeah the one place called and asked if I had a doctor note (about 2PM I was scheduled for 11P that night).  Told them no and said that they 1) never asked for one beforehand and 2) I wasn't sure how I let it slip I was having surgery but I was totally fine (this was Monday -- 1 week out).  They then asked what kind of surgery I had and I said "a revision of a previous one" (hmmm... did I neglect to say major open abdominal surgery with re-arranging my already altered guts?? my bad....).

She said she would over look it for the moment (esp when I said my Dr wasn't in the office this week) and I guess I will have to see if my Dr. will write a note and backdate it.  Doesn't matter -- I've already worked the shifts...can't "unwork"

Glad to hear he may be coming home. Was going to ask about that.

So far things are going well with the family visiting. Nice evening spent talking around the dinner table. Dummy me made stuff I couldn't eat. I tried it, pouchy didn't like it. Spent some time bowing to the porcelain God again. That'll teach me. Total operator error, knew I shouldn't have tried it. Oh well.

Today it's shopping in Albany and the dinner at the Chinese Buffet. I know this buffet well, so I have a game plan in place. Going to kill me to pay $15 for the little bit that I am going to eat, but........ family time - priceless.
