I just had to share this - I was hanging up laundry and ran into the pair of pre-weight loss pants I hung onto. I thought what the heck, I'm going to put them on. OMG! I looked like a clown, they are so huge. Then I thought, can I fit into one leg? I did! It was amazing! I'm going to take them to support group tomorrow and have someone get my picture. As soon as I can, I'll get it posted. This is so cool!

It is a cruddy rainy evening here in Eastern NY. the weatherman says we are in for a lot more rain as the evening prgresses. This summer has really sucked weather wise.

Other than that my day was pretty good even tho I had to work.

My eating has really sucked lately too. The carb monster has a pretty good hold on me right now. I am staring at a bag of mini chocolate chips. They are yelling at me to eat them and it is really hard not to do that. I don't know if I dump and don't want to find out. I am thinking that flushing them would be best. Using them in something like cookies would not be a good thing. I will beat the carb monster - one minute at a time.

Hope every one has a great evening.
Love ya, Deb

Crappy day here today too! I have huge migraine and it is yucky and rainy here. I just want to curl in bed and sleep, but my three kids will never let that happen.

Good news is I lost 7.2lbs last week! Puts me at MY halfway point. My goal for myself was 175 and I am officially at the halfway point. 67lbs in 10 weeks! I am feeling great! We will see what happens next week!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Am in a very nasty mood.  Remember how I said I hate heat and humidity?  Guess what was NOT working when we got home on Monday.... That's it, our AC died AGAIN.  We just had major work done on it in April/May.  This time it is the condensor.

We have a home warranty so it is only $60 when they come to do work, but still!!!  Also, to dispose of the condensor it is an additional $150.  They have us coming and going here :(

At least I have a room AC in our bedroom and I did go out and get one for my boys' room yesteday.  My daughter has her own heat pump unit since her bedroom is on the third floor.

Needless to say I am cranky, hot, sticky and am not very happy at the moment.

It's at least a better day today :) Mom came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. Her legs are looking better so they sent her home with home care and an IV that she needs to stay on for the next 4 days. Not sure what I'm going to do with the daycare kids today but I'm sure we'll come up with something!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Hump Day!

Today is hubby's birthday and then tomorrow he leaves to go visit his family in NC.  I am kind of looking forward to the alone time.  I need some time to regroup.  Ge is also taking 1 of the 3 dogs so that will give me a break too.

Have a great day everyone!  :-)

Good afternoon everyone!

I am just finishing up my work day  and getting ready to head for home.  Nothing terribly exciting happening here in Central Iowa, so just wanted to stop by and say HELLO and share this ...

Optimism

In order to better understand people's views of the world, a researcher once placed two children, one a pessimist and the other an optimist, alone in separate rooms. The pessimist was placed in a colorful room full of all kinds of imaginative toys ... the optimist in a room filled with horse manure.

The first child played in the room for a little while, but soon came to the door asking to leave because the toys were boring and broke too easily.

Likewise, the young optimist soon came to the door ... but rather than asking to leave, she asked for a shovel.

Of course, the researcher asked the child why she wanted a shovel.  She replied, "With all this manure around, I know that there must be a pony in here somewhere."

Keep your optimism alive friends! TTFN!
