sending packages

Is it acceptable to send items directly from Amazon?  I thought that I could spend a little more than the $10 if I didn't also have to pay for shipping, plus Amazon has better prices on many items.  I will of course also contact my pal by email or messages, and was considering also sending out a letter at the same time as the shipment.  What do you think?  Would you be upset if your gift came from Amazon?

Lisa,

That is a terrific thing to do!  I know of others who have done this and as far as I know, it has always worked out.  But, as you also mentioned, be sure to let your pal know that it is coming from there so they can watch out for it and that can also count as your contact for that week.

I'm glad you posted this so that others might get the same idea!

Hi Lisa

Just a short note to tell you that I once sent a gift card online from Starbucks for my secret pal and it worked out great, for me and for my secret pal as she liked Starbucks.

But because I didn't have a Starbucks close to me, I ordered the card online and had it shipped directly to my secret pal.

I advised her with an ecard of special envelope would be sent to her, and they allowed me to put a message with the gift card

I am sure that your secret pal would approve of a gift sent thru Amazon

Take care

Eileen

Thanks for your input Eileen.  It's always nice when those with "experience" help out the newbies!
