Hello everyone! Hope all is well. Looks like it is gonna be a beautiful day here in Pittsburgh! Things are going well. Seems like I am not losing a pound, but I am trying my hardest not to weigh myself. I try to weigh every Tuesday. My 3 month check-up is next week, and I am nervous. I have not been exercising like I should, which I know doesn't help. It is hard to find time with the 3 kids and dealing with my mom's chemo. Thankfully, my husband comes home in 3 weeks, and I will FINALLY have an extra set of hands. I am also worried about him coming home. He is not used to my eating patterns, so I don't know how he will react. (for those who don't know, he has not seen me since before my surgery!) I am doing my best to eat right, but alot of times I forget to eat, which I can't believe, or find my options slim with the kids. I try to cook the same for us all because of the money issues involved with cooking two meals. I will get back on track. I can't complain. 70lbs in 11 weeks is unbelievable, and I know the weight loss is gonna slow down sooner or later. Well, thanks for letting me vent. Hope everyone's day is filled with laughter and happiness. I know I get ton's of laughter with my three kiddo's!

Lots of Love

Hi All! Just got home from support group.

Today was an okay day. Started off with an allergic reaction to bug repellant. I've used this brand and strength before, no problems. the docotr think it may be beacuse my body chemistry is different. Any how, now I am on predisone. Just what I need to relieve the itcha nd swelling, but not what I need to help the weigh come off. Prednisone can actually make you gain and fast.

Gorgeous day weather wise. I couldn't spend any time outside because of the rash. That really sucked. But on a positive note - I did some major decluttering of my room. Had to be done. My room is actually two room and the smaller part was becoming a storage unit if you catch my drift. I tend to be one of those people that if I have a place to toss it I do. and then I promptly forget it. When I finally hit the bottom of the heap, I will likely have five or six hot glue guns!

Food wise I have done pretty good. Not perfect, but good. I went to Mc D's to get one of the grilled chicken wraps (to be eaten without the wrap), but apparently they had a refigeration issue and could not sell anything with grilled chicken or shredded lettuce. I had no time to go anywhere else so I bought a three piece chicken selects, ate one and a half of them. Didn't bother me a bit. Not good that I was able to eat the breading without a problem. I need to forget that I can do it or I'll be back there all the time. Right now I'm eating Greek yogurt with fresh from my yard blueberries. These are the first ones I've eaten. I guess I'll know soon how that goes.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day to start this all over again.
Love ya, Deb

Deb,

I hope that you are feeling better from the reaction.  Prednisone is a nasty drug.  Really makes you gain weight.  Hope it didn't with you!

Now, stop the cluttering!  My life is in order because I have no clutter.  It helps so much when it comes to ... what am I trying to say ... if you have structure with your house/living area, it will make your eating/exercise area of your life better.  Does that make sense?

And as far as McD's is concerned...it's OK.  I have eaten their burgers and the chicken wraps.  Sure beats what I used to eat when I went there!

KOKO!

Sistah, don't be so hard on yourself.  I will go weeks without losing a thing but then I have a whooshie!  If you are eating properly, it will come off eventually.  As far as hubby goes, and your eating...you stick to what you have to do for yourself!  Just cause he eats a lot more doesn't mean u have to!  :-)  Hang in there!
