Saturday June 20th --- Share and Care!

Good Morning!

It is cold and rainy here but it is fine with me!  I got on a .... sit down everyone ... a CLEANING streak this morning!  Now, take note, this GAL hates to clean!  I think it is nerves!  LOL!

Hubby is napping and I am catching up on e-mail, etc.  We are meeting my mom and dad and my 2 nieces (who just came back with them from NC) at 2:15.  I can't wait to see them!  :-)

No plans tomorrow --- just going to keep it calm around here!  Greg has surgery at 7:45am on Monday.  I see a new life for us!

My Saturday started with going to do a baby visit (yeah, 5 days post-op).  I had my DH drive more for the company for the 1.25 hr drive each way than needing him to.  We then stopped for a WalMart trip and I was able to lap the store walking today instead of the motorized cart (again, personal goals this early out).

We got home and that damned left side is/was very sore so I took some Advil and crawled into bed to surf online and chill for the rest of the day/evening.

Tomorrow we have to go to my parent's house -- not only for Father's Day, but it is their 45th Anniversary.  We (DH and I) made them a 40th Anniversary party, but this year I figured one of my other 2 sisters could set something up - I have a bit much going on this week.

Aryiana, I know that you made a lot of personal goals but it is OK to take it easy right after surgery!  :-)  Hope you had a nice day at the party today!  :-)

Well as I thought no one did much of anything.  In fact, my sisters (one older one younger) both planned on lunch with my parents and didn't invite us (!!).  We went anyway with our own food and my daughter made brownies which we brought and shared.

It's hard for me to "take it easy".... I feel like I'm slacking.  In fact, today is my first day alone with the baby and I'm having some trouble.  I do keep asking my 13 yr old for help, but it's killing me that I have to ask for help :(.

I'll see how work goes tonight.

I'm sorry that your sisters didn't think of you.  Maybe they thought you needed to rest?  Remember, take time for you!  Your body needs to heal!  :-)

Today turned out pretty good. Went shopping with my mother. Got mostly things I didn't know I wanted or needed. Great bargains and everything will get put to good use.

Renee - could you send that cleaning bug my way? I have got to get bitten fast. Most of the family is coming to visit for the week and they are staying here. At least I got all the sheets washed yesterday and today.

Deb, I don't know what the heck has gotten into me!!!  I cleaned and cooked and sewed today!  I think it may have to do with Greg's surgery tomorrow!  :-)

Today I had a wonderful relax by the pool day. Some family friends invited us over to have poolside fun today. So me, my little boy, my stepmom, stepsister, stepmoms best friend, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed a wonderful HOT sunny day in the pool. Later we were joined by my husband, my dad, and we enjoyed a very nice cook out. It's been a much needed relaxing day. My little boy is officially a water bug.

Sounds WONDERFUL!  If hubby were not having his surgery tomorrow I would have been at my brother's house enjoying the pool and family.  :-)
