Hi! I am thankful for so many thing --- family, friends, every morning that I wake up, my health, my doctors, pets, good food, I could go on and on.

Right now on the computer in the loddy of the hospital surgery center waiting for WLS support group to begin. I love this support group. A great bunch of people in the same boat as me. Easy to talk to and we help keep each other in line. And a fun way to spend a rainy Thursday evening.

Have a great evening everyone!!

Love ya, Deb

There are actaully four support groups for my surgery program. The one I attend is the 'general' WLS support group and we meet weekly. I love it. The surgeons only requires two sessions before and two more after surgery. I really enjoy being able to talk to people that are in the same boat and help out others that are just starting out. We don't ever have an agenda, it's totally whatever the group brings up. We usally stick to stuff that is related to WLS but sometimes we go off into really personal stuff like sex.

Heh... I love that I recover from surgery like no-one's business :)  To that extent, I went from tenative clear liquids this morning to discharge tonight.  Am having an issue with the J-tube (feeding tube) since it is latex and I am allergic.  If he doesn't pull it since my nurse is going to complain for me, I just may when I get home.

It's standard care for my doctor to place one when doing a revision -- in case of leakage or threat of dehydration if I can't eat or drink (do people REALLY have that problem?? cause *I* never have).

I finally called him this morning as my entire left side was one big pain -- hipbone to shoulder and I couldn't breathe.  He said I could pull it myself and I did and from the moment it was out of my body, it was like a big sigh of relief and I've been fine all day!

Don't tell me my allergy to latex is "mild" or I make more out of it than it is -  I have a wicked mark on my neck from the tape from the central line (I am also allergic to tape adhesive) and if this didn't prove my body didn't like the latex I am not sure what would.

That being said, as opposed to the RNY it was very nice this morning having coffee with full fat cream and it being "allowed"

Glad you were able to pull the tube!  I bet you feel so much better!  :-)

I too had horrible "burns" on my belly from the surgical tape.  I hate that stuff!

And, a little FYI --- lol, I have always had full leaded cream...it's allowed with RNY.  :-)
