Hope everyone has a super Memorial Day!  

I am off to my brother's house where fun will be had by all!  The kids expect me to jump in the pool, lol!

I got off work this morning (Monday) and took my son to school for marching band (daughter stayed over at a friends house and her parents got them to marching band), then drove an hour plus to my regular Mon-Wed job.  Picked up my homecare kiddo (my "take my work home with me" kid) and came home.  DH watched the babies so I could get some sleep, then back here I am tonight.

I figure what I missed in festiviities I am making up in holiday pay last night, tonight and the 16 hours today with the other kid :).

Lest you think this is all about the pay.... I get no paid time off with my jobs.... no work, no pay.  Since my surgery is in 20 days, I am trying to do what I can now so I dont fall behind when I lose a weeks pay (yes, having open surgery and planning on being back in a week... lessee if it really happens that way...).

I had a great day!

I had surgery on a Tuesday, open, home on Friday, back to work the next Wednesday.  So about 15 days from surgery date. 

A week might be too soon but everyone is so different! 

With my original RNY I had surgery on a Thurs and was back to work the following Weds (less than a week).  You can knock me down, but to keep me there you have to anesthetize me

Not sure it has to do with hard core.  My Dr. does not allow it.  :-)  :-)

My doctor never had a guideline of do not go bac****il you are "x far" out.  Also as a single parent back then the job I had didn't have benefits -- no work no pay.

The no work no pay is the same now which is why I am working 80+ hours last week and until my surgery to sort of cover the financial deficit when I have to be out at least the one week.

When my son was born 2 years ago I had a c/s and the incision opened in the hospital when he took the staples out 3 days after the c/s.   My OB knew to keep me from going and doing as soon as I got home he had to FORBID me to drive until my follow up a week later, make sure my DH and my mother heard that I was forbidden to drive so that they could take all my keys if needed.

I dunno.... if I feel fine I can't just sit around.... We'll see what happens this time.  I'm goin with the don't ask line of thought.
