Good Morning!

I hope that you all survived the festivities of Mother's Day!  We had a very long day!  Left the house at 12 and returned home at 8:30.  The dogs were ready to get out!  :-) I had such a good time that I even missed the finale of The Amazing Race.  I cannot wait to get home today and watch it!  :-)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!  Stop by and share a little bit with us.

Wooo hooo... just called the office that wants me to do 2 baby visits this week (between the 40 hrs. Mon - Wed and the nights Wed, Thurs, Fri) and they want me to do them next week instead!!  This means instead of an additional 4 hours of travelling around between the rest of the 70 hrs work this week I can actually sleep before my night shifts!!!

We went to my parents house yesterday and as always by the time we left I felt like crap and that I will never be good enough.  Also, my mother was complaining because my boys were "playing the piano".... not banging, but plunking out notes.  To my mother the piano is a piece of furnature - not a musical instrument to be played.

No wonder my 13 yr old doesn't like his grandmother much....

Mother's Day for me always ends up being more stressing than anything because of my mother's attitude.  Her house is not childproofed at all, and expected me not only to prepare lunch (after I had to go all day Friday to buy Glatt Kosher stuff for my nephew) but also make sure the baby wasn't getting into stuff while she sat on her duff and expected us all to cater to her. My dad is not much better... he plays stupid when stuff needs to be done so that it's easier just to do it yourself than to get his attention to help out.

Yes, I have 2 other sisters and my nephew is almost 22, so I am the only one with "kids", but I end up always having to do EVERYTHING and I really resent it.,

Where was MY mother's day??

Sorry for the rant......guess I needed to vent.

Arainna - I'm so sorry your Mother's Day was not a pleasant one for you. My heart goes out to you. It should have been a special day for you. My mom gets like that sometimes and then wonders why no one can stand to be around her. One of these days someone will actually have the guts to tell her. Any how - happy belated Mother's Day to you. You deserve it.

Renee - I too love the Amazing Race! It was exciting. I won't tell you how it ended. No spoilers from me. Can't wait to meet you Wednesday.

My day is going great. I am actually fighting the clutter and dust monsters in my bedroom. I have never had this kind of energy before. Amazing how much energy and motivation I have had lately. I finished planting my dahlias and cannas on Saturday. I've got some tidying up to do around the bed, but it is too chilly for me to be out there long enough to get it done.

Have a great day everyone! Love to all, Deb

I really wanted a different team to win as well and it would have been better if the end racers were a little closer together but all in all a great race. Glad to see some teams actually helped each other out a little.

Yes, I think they knew that they had lost so why not help.  I wanted to see Luke and Margie win.  My Best Friend and I are applying for the 2011 season!  :-)  E-mail me so we can talk about tomorrow!  :-)
