Secretpals--Are they Secret?

Just curious--I've read some posts suggesting that some are and some are not!  What works best?  Just soliciting some thoughts and input...

The idea is for them to be secret but PERSONALLY, I think it would be better to PAIR people up.  That way they could get to know each other better and not have to worry about keeping things secret.  :-)

I asked my Pal if she wanted me to remain anonymous.  She said no, so I did share who I was.  That way she could also see my "story" and get to know me a bit better too.

See, now that makes a lot of sense to me!  :-)

I surveyed my people and the majority of them like the idea of it being secret.  I, personally think it works both ways.  Since I am in charge of my area, I of course know who mine is but I would like it secret. I would say its up to the 2 involved and they can decide how to proceed.  Just my humble opinion.

I totally agree.  To each his/her own.  :-)  I know who has me but the person who I have does not know it is me. 

The person I have doesn't know its me either so it can work either way.  I am having a great time with this!

Really depends on if you really want to know or not.

I know who has me, but my pal doesn't know.

Just stay open with your pal, see what they want to do..

I like knowing who my pal is to read her journey. (And I <3 her! She's the best!)

I also like giving advice on my experience (as I'm only weeks out) to my secret pal. Gotta pay the knowledge foward. But I let her know who I am so she can read my blog and get an idea of what to expect for her surgery a month away. (Woot Woot! Go Lisa!)

I just think this system is the greatest thing ever! I can't praise it enough!

i love my pal too, she has been great to me, she sent me a package to prepare me for my upsoming surgery.
