I'd love to do this. I think support from others is one of the best tools for success out there. I do have one question -- what is PM? I understand e-mail and snail mail but PM?
Make that two questions - what sorts of gifts are appropriate?
I'm in NY. My surgery (RNY) is scheduled for March 30, so if this starts April 1, I'll need some info so I can be prepared.

PM is personal message. Basically you send an email through the OH website.
Any gift is appropriate .... you will get an email from the coordinator of your zone on what your secret pal likes/dislikes, hobbies, interests, etc. (Example: I got a candle this month and last month since I was right out of surgery I got crystal light, protein bar, a little angel, pudding).
I don't know when you will get your info. about your pal ... but I know someone can answer this ;)

Sometimes I am a real dunce with this compture lingo. Thanks for explaining that. And thanks for the info about the gifts. I'm looking forward to all the support I can get.

Renee will be sending out a questionnaire on the 15th. It will list things you are interested in, likes, dislikes, etc. and it will give you and your pal an idea of the kinds of things to buy. Be sure to give your pal lots of support and hopefully you will get the same in return. Hope that helps.
