Thank you Secret Pal!!!

What a wonderful surprise!!!  I have to tell you, the secret pal thing sort of took a back seat when I went in for surgery -- that was one week ago today!  I was so frightened, but everything went super.  I came home on Sunday morning, I have little to no pain.  I am sleeping well, getting around well, and doing everything the doctor has instructed me to do.  Then, a thought popped into my mind that made me a little sad -- my birthday is the 9th, and this is the first time in my life that it really won't be celebrated.  That's okay -- I am on a new journey, doing well (Thank God), I have my health, and am on my way to a much healthier and happier ME.  But I have been a little sad about the birthday thing. Then, yesterday I was relaxing on the couch, and a knock came at the door and there was my gift from my secret pal.  I WAS SO EXCITED -- you would have thought it was Christmas.  She wrote me the sweetest note, which I cherish -- and the gifts were so absolutely perfect I could never have imagined.  I LOVED everything and definitely needed it (in more ways than one!) So I thank  you, secret pal for more than you know.  You have also renewed my excitement in my birthday and allowed me to see that it isn't always about the birthday cake, or dinner out.  It's about doing something for ME, enjoying it while I do it, and finding special time to curl up on the couch with something soft and warm that makes you feel fantastic. I LOVED IT ALL -- thank you SOOOOOOOO MUCH!

I AM SO GLAD!!!!!!!!  I am new to this and had no IDEA what to send, especially to a new op..... but I looked thru the site and found some lists and suggestions, and tried my best!!!!!!  I hope you are relaxing and walking and sipping!!!!!!! Oh, look at you, my little hiding secret pal You did EXCELLENT.  I was in tears, I kid you not.  The bath things are so yummy and relaxing and the little booties are so soft.  I have them on now, see?  (pointing down at my feet )  I LOVED the litle bowls and spoons. . .how absolutely perfect and I had not thought to do that for myself .  I LOVE the timer and have used it today, it is super.  You have made my day -- my week -- my month -- SHOOT, the rest of my year

This is great fun!  And yes, I really am doing well.  I came through the surgery great, was out of bed walking almost right away and have continued to do as the doctor tells me to -- don't want any problems.  I feel amazing (think I am losing already) and am very happy :-)
