Just curious, what is a secret pal?

Hi everyone! I am just checking out all these other places on OH, that I never knew were here and came across Secret Pals....what is it?.........Dorean 

A secret pal is exactly what it sounds like.   Goes like this.  People sign up to give and receive a secret pal gift each month.  You send a gift to a person assigned to you, and somneone else sends a gift to you.  You and your secret pal are not the same person (for instance I send packages to CA, but my gifts come from PA).  Once you sign up you are REQUIRED to send a gift of at least a $10 value (not including shipping) to your person.  They do not know who you are.  You should also receive a gift each month.  It is so cool to come home and have a surprise waiting!!  It can be difficult to shop - because really we know very little about each other, but its still great fun.  If you want to play, find Anissa.  She assigns people as her schedule allows....just send her an email, and she will get to you!!  Your commitment I think is through the end of the year, and if you fail to send your gifts you will get pulled from the program!!  So be serious if you want to join...it is fun!

I have a question??? Does your secret pal ever know who you are can't you just look up their name??? I am just curious because this sounds interesting? xoxoxo Liliana
